New Year is almost Here!

Hi everyone, almost to the New Year! I have a card today, all colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I actually took a break and sold ALL my Copic markers. Maybe someday I will go back to it, but secretly I've always enjoyed colored pencils more, ssshh! Have a great 2013!

Hi everyone! Today I have a Christmas card I made using a Sugar Nellie "Angel Wishes" stamp. I've had this stamp for a while, and I thought it's about time I use it.

I added Stickles to her wings & wand.  It's a lot more sparkly in person. I used a white gel pen for the stars on her dress. And the background, I used chalk. Kraft cardstock is by Paptertrey Ink. White coloring paper is by Cardstock Couture "One Sheet Wonder". Here are the Copics I used:

Just for You *Saturated Canary Challenge*

 Hi everyone! I go MIA a lot don't I? My computer is slowly dying on us. It won't let me render any videos or upload anything intensive. It would just make a clicking noise, and clonks out on me. My husband says that the hard drive is going bad. I think we're just waiting for it to die, before we buy a new hard drive. lol.

Today I made this Saturate Canary "Just For You" card for their challenge. The theme is Fall, so I just went with fall-ish colors. The digi stamp is from the Camping/ Sleepover Digital Stamp Sheet.

*What is a Smash Journal?

I received many emails about my journaling with my last post. Some were wondering what is a Smash journal? Right now, if you are part of the scrapbooking world, those Smash books are pretty hot. It's a lot like old school scrapbooking. You document..whatever you want. It doesn't have to follow measurements, be coordinated, or even pretty. It's a way for you to keep memories of, whatever! Trips, daily life, random thoughts, or collections of whatever you want to keep track off.

For me I use it as a daily journal, just anything that is happening RIGHT NOW. No planning, no measuring, no over the top pretty pages. Just daily life stuff I want to remember.

Long Absence!

Hi everyone. It's been so long. But I have good reasons. Life and economy in general sucked up all my mojo. I had more bad days than good days, but I want go back to doing something I love, and perhaps it will make life better, yes?

I've been journaling, in SMASH BOOKS, by K&Co. To me it's quick and easier than scrapbooking. I still do scrapbooking, but sometimes when you're on the go, it's easier just to "smash" it down into a book.

In this journal entry, I wrote about mistakes I've made, and moving on. I used the new Saturated Canary digital stamp by Krista Smith. You can find it HERE. I ADORE Krista Smith's art, she is just the most amazing talented artist. I can't get over how she cranks these stamps out. I really want to color them all!

{heart} Gorjuss...!

Hi everyone. Sorry it's been awhile since my last post. We just got back from vacation not to long ago. Then I'm in the middle of switching jobs & doing some training.

But as you know, new Gorjuss stamps came out recently, and I just love anything Gorjuss. This card, I colored her up with Copics and Prismas for shading. Also I used Washi tape to decorate the card backing, and the photo corners. They ware way fun. Hope you like it!

Happy Monday! Today I have a Happy Father's Day card to share. This will be for my husband this coming weekend. I used LOTV's Little Lorry Bear, and it was fun to color. I Love You Forever and a day

Funny how I "want" to color now that I don't feel obligated to! I knew I had to have this digi stamp from Mo Manning the minute I saw it. It reminds me of my daughter and her little cousin. She always says "I love my baby cousin Nicholas!" even though he's only a year younger than her. :) I'm entering this in Mo's Challenge: Recipes.

I used Copics to color, and Prisma 90% cool grey to do the shadows. The background is done with Pebbles Inc. chalk.

You'd think I know my blog ettiquette by now, but I do forget. Sorry for disappearing for so long. I should have given a warning. I was really not "into" coloring for awhile. I was trying to do some soul searching and suddenly my mojo just went away, kaput! Then of course life got in the way, and I went through some rough times...naturally blogging and coloring wasn't in my list of priorities anymore. I'm back for a bit here/there. I won't be on any DT's because I want to just relax and have fun without deadlines. I will also take off my "followers" widget. I think it's time I focus on the fun aspect of this hobby and not so much on how many are visiting me, etc. I want to apply to challenges once in awhile. So I hope you visit me time to time regardless. I will give way stamps now and again, because I still have TONS in my stash.

Magnolia-Licious Inspiration Challenge!

Morning! Today at Magnolia-Licious, we have an Inspiration challenge! This week we are focusing on a photo with lots of ideas for a great challenge! I decided to use the color purple and red from the inspiration to make my card. Normally I wouldn't use these two color together, but I really like the color combo now! I used this Tilda stamp from the Autumn Collection 2010, which sold out, but there's a carousel horse from the collection that is PERFECT for this challenge!

This card is not my norm, but that's what a challenge is all about. Plus, since my mojo is still missing, I thought trying a different style would be fun, and let me tell you IT WAS! I might do more of these frilly vintage type cards. :D

Just a Note

 Happy Wednesday! I made this card using the new Belles N Whistles stamp "A Pen Friend", she was just spectacular to color. When I first started out coloring, my very first image was an Elisabeth Bell stamp, so I'm going back to my roots, or so to speak... :) . I'm also entering this in their challenge!

I used Copics and Prismacolor pencils to color her, background is done with chalk, in the earthtone pallete. And my Papertrey Ink order came today, so the kraft cardstock, hearts background, and tag is by PTI! I think I'm starting a new addiction!

Also, I didn't make it on the Stampavie DT, "wahhhh", I'll sulk for a few days... :(  I also decide to step down from the Sugar Nellie DT for now. Karen has been a wonderful boss, and I will miss her generosity, who knows, someday we'll meet again! THANK YOU KAREN!!!

Magnolia-Licious Color Challenge

Hi there! Today I have a card for Magnolia-Licious Color Challenge. This color challenge is pink & green, perfect for Easter and spring cards! I used one of the brand new Tilda mini stamps, which was sooooo much fun to color. You can use these mini stamps for smaller cards, tags, or build-your-own multiple Tilda scenes. I like them because they give you more room to decorate your cards. Sometimes you don't want a card to be entirely the image, so these mini stamps are perfect for those occasions!

I used all Prismacolor pencils this time to color this cute little tilda. Believe me it was a challenge. I think I'm going back to mixed media for sure, lol! Visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's creations!!!
